The Atomic Ghost: An Artist Who Works With Digital Pastiche

Below are some images by an artist who goes by the pseudonym The Atomic Ghost.  His work has a whimsical,  lowbrow, pulp fiction vibe to it, and he has become famous for it.  But notice that he is collaging elements from preexisting material.  He does this digitally, using the very same tools and filters that you are learning to use now.  He doesn't always get his source material from the Internet like you are doing, however.  Often he will take images from magazines, photos, newspapers, and comic books and scan them into his computer.  Still, his method for constructing the image is the same as ours, selecting, cutting, and copying elements from one source and pasting them into another.  Check his stuff out: http://www.behance.net/theatomicghost
