3 Cloned Images
- Shoot photographs following directions given in class.
- Utilizing the skillsets, tools, and filters that you will learn in class, create 3 images in which you clone a single person multiple times.
- Images should be believable.
- It should appear that these clones all exist in the same place at the same time.
- Clones should integrate into the background cleanly
- Shadows and reflections are important. Don't ignore them!
- Correct any color shifts between clones and background.
- If clones overlap, edges should be clean and feathered.
- No less than three clones in each image. You may have more than three if you want.
- Having your clones interacting in some way is always better than just posing them in front of the camera.
- AT LEAST ONE IMAGE MUST BE A SELF-PORTRAIT (meaning all of the clones must be YOU)
Posting your work and commenting on the work of others:
- The finished images (in .jpg format) should be uploaded to your blog BEFORE 9:00 PM THURSDAY, MARCH 19.
- Write some comments in your post about the assignment and your thoughts on each image you made.
- Then, AFTER 9:00 PM THURSDAY NIGHT, log into Blogger, go to each of your peers' blogs, check out their images, and leave a comment about their work.
- What have they done well?
- What might they have done differently?
- Are the images believable, or can you see the process?
- Do shadows and reflections look correct?
- What do you think of the composition of/interaction between the clones?
- If you have obligations that interfere with this schedule, let me know IN ADVANCE so that we can make alternative plans.
- ON FRIDAY, MARCH 20, we will critique the work in-class. Come prepared to talk about the work and to offer both praise and constructive criticism.
